AUTM Special Interest Groups (SIG) bring together AUTM members with a common area of interest within the technology transfer field. Some SIGs meet in-person during AUTM annual meetings, while others convene by discussion eGroups. AUTM members may join a SIG online by choosing options on the SIGs tab of your member profile. This SIG is for discussion and sharing of programs, concerns, questions, best practices, etc. that relate to the many types of formal interactions between TTOs and students/curricula both within and outside of the TTO’s institution. Such interaction may encompass, for example, students in TTO intern programs, business plan competitions, and/or courses/majors/certifications/programs relating to technology commercialization and entrepreneurship. Join this SIG online!

VC Relations SIG   

This SIG is for discussion and publication of topics related to best practices for interacting with VC as well as the various forms of investment (external VC, university-managed VC, angels, venture philanthropy, etc.). Specific input from active VC firms that focus on university-based technologies and startups will be pursued.
