We’re in the business of exploring innovative new technologies, so why are so many of our offices behind the times when it comes to marketing ourselves and our technologies? Cut through the hype and discover how your office can start “walking the walk,” better positioning your organization and innovations for success. Through case studies involving the latest in Web and social media tools — and powerful metrics — our panel of marketing experts from the university, government and industry sectors will demonstrate how these new technologies empowered them to achieve their business objectives. The first half of this session will feature an overview of the dominant social media platforms and how technology transfer offices are using these tools as part of their overall marketing strategy. The second half of this session will focus on cases and best practices specific to technology marketing.

All technology transfer professionals are invited to complete a 5-minute survey about how they use (or don’t use) social media in their work. Please complete the survey by February 20th (even if you’re not sure you’ll attend this panel): http://bit.ly/Xlwy2C
