In this new AUTM course, learn from Finance Directors, CPAs and Administrative Professionals who manage the input and maintenance of executed License Agreements, Amendments, Option Agreements, Inter-Institutional Agreements (IIA), and Collaboration Agreements. We will discuss best practices for streamlining processes to manage the compliance of the terms of contracts executed within a technology transfer office. Topics include managing license and royalty income, the process for review and approval of legal invoices, payment and recovery of legal expenses from co-owners and licensees and much more.
Learn about Contract Administrators and how their broad responsibilities in the Office of Technology Transfer requires daily contact with local, state, national and international companies relating to agreements, including inquiries on invoices, working with senior management, and outside law firms regarding collection of delinquent accounts. Contract Administrators also coordinate with collection firms on the initiation of demand letters and collection suites. They monitor the progress of each account and coordinate special billing procedures with the Business Office on accounts in collections and/or in litigation.
Participants will leave this new AUTM course with answers to their questions, time-saving solutions, and other tools to use in their office and to share with their coworkers.
