Global Health Toolkit

Helping Licensing Managers Promote Global Health Access

The AUTM Global Health Toolkit provides university licensing managers a starting point as they enter into licensing discussions with prospective licensees. The toolkit joins with the AUTM Global Health Sample Clauses, a living document created by AUTM members to share their experience creating licenses that promote global health access.

The toolkit and sample clauses focus on experiences that demonstrate how to structure license clauses that promote innovation and product development while encouraging access to essential medicines by developing countries.

Our hope is that university licensing managers will provide feedback on their experience so that the Global Health Toolkit evolves into a comprehensive compendium of successful practices that support the Global Health Principles allowing AUTM members to make an even larger impact on global health issues.

The AUTM Global Health Sample Clauses serve as a non-exhaustive set of examples of verbatim clauses related to global health issues. These have been extracted from license agreements successfully executed by universities and can be used by your team as starting point.
