Now more than ever before, content and software are being recognized as valuable properties. Copyright law is an essential tool in the university technology transfer professional toolbox, particularly as applied to the licensing of various content and software.

Have you heard of many universities being very successful in licensing content and software? Do you want to get in the game? A thorough overview of key copyright law concepts will be provided, followed by a brief introduction to content and software licensing issues as contrasted to patent licensing. Finally, the wrap-up portion of the program will feature discussion of how content and software licensing is a valuable effort in today’s technology transfer office.
